Was this really a battery? A lot of scholars seem to think it was, so I'll include it here!
These are now obsolete. Due to the size of the originals any number of modern 1.5 volt batteries could be used in series / parallel to replace the original(s) (if any original equipment can be found in working order) but care should be taken with series connection as the original was around .4 of a volt less (although I don't think the different voltage will matter too much).
