Anytone AT-5555 & Clones Function Menu Codes.
By Brian, MW0GKX

Many of these radios are changing hands on the used market, often without the manual. New users are asking time and time again the same question: "When I'm in the Function Menu, what do those 3 letter codes mean?"

At the bottom of this page I have listed the codes (in alphabetical order by display) and what function they denote plus some other useful information about them. Functions listed may not be available on all versions and detail about this is noted in red where known.

Notes in green relate to the programming software settings (see next section about programming software).

I hope I have all of the settings here but if there are any I've missed, feel free to drop me a line with the displayed code and description / options.

The Settings are also available in the Programming Software!

accessing the option feature menu

I have been asked: "I set up the radio how I wanted it, used the software to program the frequencies and now the functions are not what I set! Why not??"

Most of the listed settings that are present on your model can be set with the software that programmes the radio, see Edit >> Option Features in the programming software (right). When the radio is programmed with the software the settings of the options within the software will over-write any changes you make to the radio manually. Shown below are V3, V4, V5 & V6 Option Feature windows, click on them for full size view.

Entering Function Menu Mode

Buttons, FUNC ringedTo enter Function Menu Mode:
  1. Switch the radio ON
  2. Press and hold the FUNC button (ringed in the picture, right) for more than 2 seconds (some users are saying 5 seconds) then release

To step through the functions / Alter the setting:

I suggest you step through the settings, noting the codes you have. You can then check your list against the list below.

If you are looking at the menu you get to after pressing and holding "FUNC" while powering on the radio; then pressing "RB", "AN/ANL", "DW" see the bottom of http://mw0gkx.co.uk/mods/at5555oscadj.htm as that is the service menu that deals with the frequency fine-tuning for the oscillator and other vital functions.
